Smartphone app remaps the Vilna Ghetto for a new generation of visitors

Menachem Kaiser writes for Tablet Magazine about a new smartphone app he has authored that overlays the boundaries and landmarks of the Vilna Ghetto onto a current map of the city. Kaiser claims the contours of the historical ghetto are inadequately visible in the increasingly gentrified modern city of Vilnius and his “reVILNA” is an interactive map project that uses GPS to mark important sites and seeks to increase the understanding of daily life in the Vilna Ghetto through a spatial outline of the area.
